My Background
Sabrina Albiero is originally from Eastern France. She grew up in Metz and Strasbourg, with family roots in Italy and Slovenia. Sabrina is a UNK alumnus, College of Art Education. Before joining the Global Experiences team, Sabrina’s latest position was with the US Embassy in Paris assisting Americans traveling and living in France. She developed strong skills in what is needed abroad, and where to secure the necessary information, and learned to be efficient in emergency situations. She is very excited to join our team as a coordinator and advises students to go abroad, be creative, see the world in its full spectrum, and return to share this unique experience.
My Study/Work Abroad
A native of France, Sabrina was an international student at the University of Nebraska - Kearney, where she received her Masters degree. While she focused her studies in Arts – graduated from French and American universities - she developed professional experiences through Art Education at UNK, home fragrances with noted French company Esteban, art auction with the world-renowned Christie’s, and the diplomatic and consular world with the U.S. Department of State in Paris. She is passionate about art and creativity, and actively draws and paints, never missing a chance to discover new techniques.
My Ideal Next Travel Destination
“Les voyages forment la jeunesse !” “Travel shapes youth” as the saying goes, and what my grandpa and dad used to tell me. I think traveling keeps us young at heart. My next destination is wherever work or family will bring me, but my bucket list includes Hawaii, South America, and overseas French territories.
